JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
- Instructs patients in oral hygiene and plaque control programs.
- Organizes and lays out instruments for dentist's use.
- Hands instruments and other materials to dentist during procedures.
- Takes x-rays of patients' teeth.
- Makes preliminary impressions for study casts and occlusion registrations for mounting study casts.
- Sterilizes and disinfects instruments.
- Instructs patients on postoperative and general oral health care.
- Assists dentist in management of medical and dental emergencies.
- Orders dental supplies and medications, ensuring stocks are maintained.
- Monitors expiration of dental materials
- Monitors infection control policies and ensures the implementation of its practical aspect. i.e proper handwashing, isolation techniques, proper sanitation and waste disposal, etc.
- Ensures that the surgical areas and equipments are regularly cleaned and maintained, including aspiration systems and autoclaves.
- Charts and updates patients records on the file as necessary, and assists the dentists in the completion of records
REQUIREMENTS
- Female
- Filipina
- Age between 28 to 38
- With minimum 2 years of dental assistant experience
- Must have HAAD license as a dental assistant and not just a general RN or nurse
- Willing to work on split shift (the working schedule of the client is 9:30AM to 1:30PM and then resumes at 4:30PM to 7:30PM, Saturday to Wednesday, on Thursday, they work only until 1:30PM. Friday they are off
