JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
• Handle a team of Technical Superintendents
• Organize, coordinate and delegate operations and technical tasks to the department
• Monitor and ensure all managed vessel’s technical activities and analyze monthly planned maintenance system
• Introduce, adjust and distribute procedures and work instructions that relates to technical matters
• Ensure that updated and detailed specifications of managed vessels are available in Head Office
• Determine repair specifications for dry-docking, maintenance and surveys together with the most economical method to complete these
• Ensure proper Up-to-date records are updated during and on completion of dry docking and repair for actual and anticipated expenditure as well as quality of the works and products involved
• Handling experience of fleet: 60 +vessels, comprising landing crafts, oil tanker, anchor handling tugs, barges and multipurpose heavy lift cargo vessels.
• Supervise and manage the shipboard maintenance, vessel’s performance and repair programs.
• Ensure that the defects are rectified within the time frame to meet the class, flag and client requirement.
Requirements:
• 10-15 years minimum experience in a relevant role (Offshore, ship management, ship building, dry docking, engine repair and vessel overhauls)• Shall be a Marine Engineer, Mechanical Engineer or Naval Architect and shall have Managerial experience
• Work experience in the Middle East, especially UAE, is preferred.
