JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
- Review contract scope of work and specifications.
- Preparation of Single Line Diagrams, Load Schedules, Calculations, Schematics and Layouts for Power Distribution, motor controls and lighting and small power systems.
- Preparation of schematics and layouts related to ELV systems.
- Preparation of Material Take Offs (MTOs) and Equipment/ Material Requisitions related to above systems.
- Upon receiving vendors proposals, review of the technical and commercial proposals and provide evaluation / recommendations.
- Preparation of Equipment/ Material Approval Requests and follow up on approval with client.
- Update all design and construction drawings related to above systems and follow up on approvals.
- Design engineer shall be assisted by a team of ACAD draftsmen for preparation of ACAD drawings and MTOs.
REQUIREMENTS
- E & I design engineer with minimum of 4 years experience in the design of E & I for industrial and offshore projects.
Shall have experience in the following fields:
- Power distribution systems including 11kv networks and low voltage networks. This includes cable sizing calculations, short circuit calculations, switchgear single line diagrams, etc.
- Lighting design including lighting calculations.
- Design of distribution boards (dbs) for lighting and small power.
- Design of HVAC control system including wiring/ logic diagrams of control panels.
- Should be able to prepare cable schedule, cable routings, sizing of cable trays and multicable transit design/ layouts.
- Should have experience in LV systems such as: fire and gas, public address, cctv, access control, telephone systems.
