Design Engineering Manager (EPC)

The Company
* A medium sized international contractor with a strong track record in designing and construction power plants and industrial facilities. They operate as a main EPC contractor and as a sub-contractor.
* To support expansion plans in the GCC the are looking to hire a Design Engineering Manager at their new office in Dubai.
The Opportunity
* The Design Engineering Manager will be the first appointment in Dubai and effectively act as the Country Manager.
* Key responsibilities are the full design engineering of power plants and industrial projects.
* The Design Engineering Manager will hire a team of Engineers to report in to him.
* You will use various software packages like Thermoflow, GT Pro, Steam Pro and SmartPlant.
* You will keep up to date with all the latest technology offerings and have overall responsibility for the engineering designs for new projects and consultancy work.
Salary & Benefits are negotiable dependent on skills and experience.
REQUIREMENTS
* Bachelors’ Degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
* 20 years’ experience in the design of power plants and industrial facilities.
* Team leadership and supervisory experience.
* Excellent technical background with some commercial skills.
* Middle East experience will be a distinct advantage.
