Design Manager (Interiors)

JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Interior Design Manager to join our team in Dubai. This role requires a dynamic individual capable of managing F&B projects at site, from concept to completion, with a strong focus on quality and client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and coordination skills, as they will be working closely with high-profile Project Management (PM) companies and internal design teams. Regular travel to KSA and occasional travel to neighbouring countries is a requirement.

Responsibilities:

* Client Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for high-profile PM companies, understanding their needs and ensuring project deliverables meet their expectations. This requires a high level of professionalism and strong PM skills.
* Travel: Regular travel to KSA (approximately twice a month) for site meetings is essential. Occasional travel to neighbouring countries may also be required.
* Site Supervision: Conduct site visits and workshops in the UAE as needed to oversee production quality and ensure adherence to design specifications.
* Coordination: Facilitate seamless communication and collaboration between third-party contractors, suppliers, and our internal design team. This includes managing expectations and resolving any conflicts that may arise.
* Supplier Management: Identify and source required technical suppliers, ensuring they meet project requirements in terms of quality, cost, and delivery.
* Technical Review: Critically review shop drawings and design packages to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
* Quality Control: Maintain a strong focus on quality throughout the design process, from concept development to final installation.

Requirements:
Required Skills and Experience:

* Proven experience as a Design Manager for F&B and Retail projects
* Strong understanding of design principles, construction methodologies, and relevant industry standards.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
* Experience working with high-profile clients and PM companies.
* Proficiency in reviewing shop drawings and design packages.
* Ability to identify and source reliable technical suppliers.
* Willingness to travel regularly to KSA and occasionally to neighbouring countries.
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
