Job Description
- Drive strategies and long-term vision to build best-in-class digital products.
- Conduct user research and usability studies, collaborating with designers, developers, and research teams throughout the process.
- Craft a product vision (short- and long-term) and convert it to a concrete strategy.
- Participate in market research, validation, and white space analysis to identify opportunities for new or existing features and functionalities.
- Partner with business owners and agile product teams to build roadmaps that will be reflected in the broader portfolio planning.
- Develop and implement pipelines that extract, transform, and load data into an information product.
Job Responsibilities
- Partner internally to manage roadmap and backlog for all digital products, ensuring that the team delivers capabilities on time and as per expectation.
- Oversee requirements discovery, solution design, user story writing, feature development, and user acceptance testing.
- Partner with the executive team to identify key capabilities needed as well as potential issues.
- Partner regularly with cross-functional teams to ensure feature development and prioritisation alignment.
- Reviews business context for solutions to company challenges as well as defining the vision and requirements for the solution, recommending potential options (which may include RFIs, RFPs or prototype development), selecting the most optimal option, and developing of a roadmap for the selected solution.
- Monitor and evaluate product performance to facilitate continuous iteration and improvement.
- Understand the user persona and develop unique value propositions.
- Manage the entire product life-cycle from strategic planning and functionality to product positioning.
- Analyze and report data on product enhancements, errors, defects, and overall team performance.
- Work closely with user experience, development, and quality assurance teams to create consumer-grade product usability.
- Overseeing a product's development from the concept to the distribution phase.
- Evaluating prototypes and improving a product's effectiveness.
- Prioritizing product opportunities while making sure they stay budget friendly.
- Choosing product features to increase product effectiveness.
- Managing the product backlog and keeping it updated to manage customers' expectations
- Identifying and defining target customers' needs and using this information to develop relevant products.
- Coming up with successful strategies and plans to bring a product to fruition.
- Manages activities that take place during solution ideation, solution design, and solution implementation.
- Directs the identification and recommendation of appropriate solutions, upgrades, replacements, or decommissioning options incorporating business and technology productivity, usability, and total cost of ownership.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 - 12 years of experience digital product management domain.
- Communicates the architecture to the stakeholders and collaborates and coordinates with existing domain architects in the formalization and adoption of IT standards and procedures.
- Develops and executes solutions which further reduce the percentage of time spent on reactive work.
- Strong analytical, prioritization, and negotiating skills
- Experience in usability and customer-focused design
- Passion for building great products to solve customer and business problems
- Cloud technologies knowledge.
- Latest tech stack knowledge like Angular & React.
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under indirect supervision
- Broad understanding of information technology topics
- Effective interpersonal skills and collaborative management style to include teamwork and team building ability
- Comfortable with ambiguity and time spent outside of comfort zone acquiring new skills
- Flexible in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting roles and responsibilities
- Technically creative and open-minded
Education and Experience Required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience.
- Minimum of 10 - 12 years of experience related to development and product management.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate the complexities of technical programs.
- Expertise with personal computers in a secure network environment and Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and SharePoint) or similar software.
