Role purpose:
The Dim Sum Chef is responsible for maintaining the Dim Sum and Wok kitchens, assisting in the formation of the menu, and ensuring food and cleanliness standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure Dim Sum and Wok kitchens are managed efficiently and according to the established concept statements.
• Organize food production in a cost-effective and hygienic manner, ensuring food standards are maintained and continuously improved.
• Prepare the menu in accordance with quality, availability, and seasonality of ingredients, and ensure market lists are completed on a daily and weekly basis.
• Assist in the menu formulation process in the Dim Sum and Wok kitchen, and in developing standards and procedures.
• Responsible for the training and discipline of all kitchen colleagues, together with the Executive Chef.
• Identify opportunities for improving the efficiency of operations and reducing costs without affecting the level of service, in order to improve operating procedures.
• Propose and initiate, when approved, new products for our guests.
• Ensure superior cleanliness standards are maintained across all culinary departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Fluency in English.
