JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
The Director of ETFs will be a key member of the Public Markets Team, responsible for leading and managing the portfolio management team in the global launch and listing of new active equity ETFs. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the existing suite of ETFs complies with the intended investment objectives, maintaining a low tracking error, and delivering superior performance

Description
New Product Launch and Management:
* Lead and manage the portfolio management team in the successful launch and listing of new active equity ETFs globally.
* Oversee the development and execution of strategic plans for new ETF products, ensuring alignment with market trends.
Portfolio Management and Investment Strategy:
* Set and implement investment strategies for running discretionary equity portfolios, aiming to achieve optimal risk-adjusted returns.
* Continuously monitor and evaluate market conditions, economic trends, and regulatory changes to make informed investment decisions.
Product Strategy and Development:
* Present compelling investment ideas to contribute to the development of the ETF product strategy.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that product development aligns with market demands and regulatory guidelines.
Compliance and Risk Management:
* Ensure that public markets investment products, including ETFs, comply with regulatory requirements.
* Implement robust risk management practices, focusing on disclosure and reporting, to maintain transparency and accountability

REQUIREMENTS
* Advanced degree in finance, economics, or a related field.
* CFA preferred.
* Minimum of 12 years of experience in a senior portfolio management or director role within the asset management industry.
* Proven track record in successfully launching and managing active equity ETFs on a global scale.
* Extensive experience in setting and implementing investment strategies for discretionary equity portfolios.
* Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a high-performing team.
* Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present complex investment ideas clearly and persuasively.
