Director of Operations

- Fairmont Hotels & Resorts is a global hotel brand offering engaging service and authentically local experiences in places of unrivalled presence. Be an ambassador for the brand and your hotel as Director of Operations, where you will provide leadership and strategic planning to all departments in support of our service culture, maximized operations and guest satisfaction.

What you will be doing:

- Lead and support all departments in the achievement of their financial and operational targets through establishment of a positive culture, clear expectations and policy & procedural implementation
- Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
- Support the Cluster General Manager in the overall management and strategic direction of the hotel
- Oversee the operations functions of the hotel
- Ensure full compliance to Hotel operating controls, SOP's, policies, procedures and service standards
- Responsibility of driving efforts to achieve/exceed the hotels scorecard targets ie. GOP, JDP, LQA, CES
- Ensure that monthly financial outlooks for Rooms and Food & Beverage are on time, on target and accurate
- Clearly demonstrate to guests and colleagues a commitment to service excellence through the effective implementation and delivery of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts Core Standards at all times.
- Foster a winning, solution-oriented work environment, motivating and engaging colleagues to continuously deliver the best possible service to our guests.
- Be an ambassador for the Fairmont Brand
- Ensure all safety policies are being adhered to - Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

Your experience and skills include:

- Previous experience in a senior leadership role, within a preferred similar hotel brand required
- Extensive Hotel operations experience required
- Demonstrated knowledge of budget planning and financial controls
- University/College degree in a related discipline preferred
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
