Electrical Site Engineer

Job summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented electrical site engineer to oversee electrical installations, maintenance, and commissioning at project sites. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in managing site operations, ensuring compliance with electrical standards, and coordinating with project teams to deliver work on schedule and within quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage all electrical work at the project site, ensuring adherence to technical specifications and safety standards.
• Plan, schedule, and monitor site activities to ensure timely project execution.
• Conduct site inspections and troubleshoot electrical issues during installation and testing.
• Prepare and review electrical drawings, schematics, and layouts.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and other engineering disciplines to ensure smooth workflow.
• Maintain documentation of site reports, progress, and compliance with project plans.
• Ensure compliance with local codes, regulations, and company quality standards.
• Assist in procurement of electrical materials and ensure their proper utilization on-site.
• Provide technical guidance to site electricians and sub-contractors.
• Conduct testing and commissioning of electrical systems and prepare reports.

Essential qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience as an electrical site engineer in construction, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, panels, and power distribution.
• Familiarity with project management principles and site coordination.

Skills required

• Strong technical knowledge of electrical installations and safety regulations.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical drawings and specifications.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and team management abilities.
• Knowledge of relevant electrical codes and standards (IEC, NEC, etc.).
• Proficiency in MS Office and site management tools.
