JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

We are currently seeking an experienced ELV Design and Estimation Engineer to join our team in Dubai, UAE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and estimating Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems for construction projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled engineer to contribute to the success of our projects and grow within our dynamic organization.

Responsibilities:
- Designing ELV systems including structured cabling, CCTV, access control, public address, and other low voltage systems for construction projects.
- Preparing technical drawings, specifications, and documentation for ELV systems in compliance with regulations and project requirements.
- Estimating material, labor, and equipment costs for ELV systems based on project plans and specifications.
- Collaborating with project managers, architects, and clients to understand project requirements and provide technical expertise during the design and estimation process.
- Staying updated with the latest technologies and best practices in ELV system design and estimation to ensure innovative and efficient solutions.
- Participating in project meetings and providing support to the project team throughout the design, estimation, and implementation phases.
- Ensuring that designs and estimates meet quality, safety, and performance standards while adhering to project timelines and budget constraints.

REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with a focus on low voltage or ELV systems.
- Proven experience in designing and estimating ELV systems for construction projects, preferably in the UAE or GCC region.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, BIM, and other relevant design software for creating technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and codes related to ELV systems such as TIA/EIA, ANSI/TIA, and local authorities' requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively estimate costs and troubleshoot design issues.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Professional certifications related to ELV system design and estimation will be an added advantage.
