JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

ROLE SUMMARY
The key focus of this role is to support a variety of initiatives focused on developing, engaging, and retaining a diverse workforce. This is a unique opportunity to improve existing programs and build new content and experiences for engaging employees across Averda.

ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Develops, designs, and implements customised on-boarding process for new hires.
• Conducts analyses of key data (Engagement Surveys, Exit Interviews, Stay Interviews) and identifies trends.
• Develops and supports implementation of employee recognition and reward programs.
• Develops, evaluates, and implements new processes to ensure employees are informed of company and office initiatives, programs, and announcements.
• Collects timely data to support business initiatives through focus groups, surveys, one-on-one interviews, and other methodology; evaluates and applies the data to support decisions.
• Researches, evaluates, and selects vendors according to requirements aligned with engagement initiatives.
• Proactively identifies and pursues relevant opportunities to strengthen employee awareness of Averda core values and culture and reinforces our goal of being an Employer of Choice.
• Develops and executes employee-centered events such as town hall meetings, staff retreats & appreciation events, birthdays, and key milestones.
• Identifies and escalates issues and solutions related to employee engagement.
• Works with cross-functional teams to identify unique/market needs while balancing the overall purpose and requirements of employee engagement.
• Seeks and leverages different perspectives to bring together creative and relevant solutions that drive business impact.
• Supports development of internal communications, events and program materials, including newsletters, e-blasts, etc.
• Supports HR team on ad hoc special projects and initiatives.

PERFORMANCE MEASURES/SUCCESS CRITERIA
• Meeting and exceeding the Key Performance Indicators and Service Level Agreements assigned for the team as well as supporting HR in Talent and Recruitment initiatives.

REQUIREMENTS

QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum requirement – Bachelors in HR and desirable Masters in HR.
• Minimum 5 to 7 years professional experience of implementing engagement initiatives in a multicultural environment
• Have a methodical, process orientated approach with rigorous attention to detail
• Proactive in identifying potential problems and developing solutions
• Strong interpersonal skills to work sensitively with a complex culture

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
• Excellent written and spoken English, French speaking skills is desirable
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to facilitate mutual understanding and work effectively with a wide variety of people of all levels
• Excellent facilitation, program management and presentation skills
• Ability to deal with complexity and react quickly within a constantly changing environment
• Independent work ethic and a drive to contribute in a team environment
• Extensive knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
• Strong understanding of traditional, digital and social media
• Strong project management skills and experience
• Ability to look at the big picture and meet communication needs of varied audiences
• Tolerance for working under pressure and on tight timelines
