JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

Leading and supporting engineering production activities for a major project, the Engineering Manager makes decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritative. At this level you will have demonstrated understanding of project delivery requirements, creativity, foresight and mature judgment in anticipating and solving both routine and unusual operations problems, determining operational objectives and requirements, organising programs and projects, and developing standards and guides for diverse engineering activities.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Supervising, mentoring and supporting Discipline Department Managers.
Overseeing and coordinating efforts to sustain and improve office production.
Overseeing and coordinating project staffing to maintaining optimum utilisation and meeting project requirements.
Reviewing, analyzing and distributing appropriate financial reports.
Initiating and maintaining contact with the Project Director to determine priorities and objectives.
Facilitating communication between Discipline Department Managers and Project Managers.
Providing interface between various departments and supporting resolution of inter-discipline issues.
Participating in recruitment and selection of key individuals.
Communicating company information, directives, policies and procedures.
Conducting regular review sessions with and provide guidance for future performance expectations and career growth.

REQUIREMENTS

You will have over 15 years post qualification experience
You must hold a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering and be a Chartered or Licensed Professional Engineer.
Freight experience, Heavy Haul, experience with start up projects and Design/Build is also essential.
