JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Urgent Hiring: Container Control Executive. The applying candidate must hold 5yrs work experience within Shipping Liner / NVOCC he/she responsible for monitoring, controlling, and optimizing container equipment inventory to ensure efficient utilization, availability, and repositioning of containers across ports and depots. The role supports smooth vessel operations and minimizes detention, demurrage, and repositioning costs.
Requirements:
Candidate must hold the below experience, and the candidate must be based in the UAEEquipment Monitoring & Control
• Track container inventory (laden & empty) across ports, depots, and vessels.
• Monitor equipment flow to ensure sufficient stock for export bookings.
• Coordinate container repositioning to avoid shortages or surpluses.
• Plan empty container evacuation from surplus locations.
Inventory & Reporting
• Maintain accurate equipment records in system (e.g., SAP, Navis, or internal systems).
• Prepare daily/weekly equipment balance and forecast reports.
• Monitor container aging, idle stock, and long-standing units.
• Analyze equipment utilization and propose optimization strategies.
Coordination & Operations
• Liaise with port terminals, depots, transporters, and internal teams.
• Coordinate with Vessel Planning team for loading/discharge plans.
• Work closely with Customer Service and Sales for booking forecasts.
• Arrange container release orders and manage gate activities.
Cost Control
• Monitor detention, demurrage, storage, and repositioning costs.
• Optimize equipment movement to reduce operational expenses.
• Verify vendor invoices related to container handling and storage.
Equipment Maintenance
• Monitor damaged containers and coordinate repairs.
• Ensure compliance with container safety standards.
• Track off-hire/on-hire of leased containers.
Salary:
AED
7,000 to 10,000
per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
