JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Estimator specializing in swimming pools to join our team. As an Estimator, you will be responsible for accurately assessing the cost and materials required for swimming pool projects, including equipment selection. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in estimating swimming pool construction projects.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to understand the scope and specifications of swimming pool projects.
• Review project plans, drawings, and specifications to gather relevant information for estimating purposes.
• Conduct quantity take-offs to determine the amount of materials, labor, and equipment required for swimming pool construction.
• Estimate the cost of materials, including concrete, rebar, tiles, finishes, plumbing, electrical components, and other necessary supplies.
• Research and select appropriate swimming pool equipment, such as pumps, filters, heaters, lighting, and control systems, based on project requirements and budget constraints.
• Obtain and analyze quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to determine accurate pricing for equipment and materials.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs, using estimating software or spreadsheets.
• Collaborate with the procurement team to obtain competitive pricing for materials and equipment.
• Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and value engineering alternatives without compromising quality or safety.
• Prepare and present cost estimates to project stakeholders, including clients, architects, and management, ensuring clear communication and addressing any queries or concerns.
Salary:
AED
5,000 to 6,000
per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications and Skills:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working as an Estimator, preferably in the field of swimming pool construction.
• Strong knowledge of swimming pool construction techniques, materials, and equipment selection.
• Proficiency in using estimating software and tools to prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates.
• Understanding of construction drawings, plans, and specifications to accurately assess project requirements.
• Familiarity with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards related to swimming pool construction.
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills to perform quantity take-offs and cost calculations.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to review and interpret complex project documentation.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with project stakeholders and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors.
