JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

We are currently seeking a corporate Executive Assistant of the highest calibre for this incredibly exciting and diverse role. Although a leading global, professional services firm, the Dubai office pride themselves on the close working relationships and respect employees have for each other; ensuring a superb working environment and a very stable workforce.

As the Executive Assistant to the Managing Director, you will be privy to highly sensitive and confidential information and will be put in a pivotal position of trust. The role assists the Managing Director with strategy and budget planning and liaises with significant others, including global Board members as well as other senior management figures and their EAs internationally. There is a high volume of diary management internationally and travel management as a result. This can be a frustrating part of the role, as things change on a daily basis and as such the successful candidate will display a calm and efficient manner in managing this and an understanding of the circumstances that surround them.

As well as the considerable amount of EA support required in this one-to-one role, the position also liaises substantially with the HR department in the UK, as their point of contact in the region here. This involves managing all HR matters for the office, including recruitment, on boarding and induction planning.

Finally, and importantly, the role also manages private work for the Managing Director. As a very trusted advisor, you will assist with family travel and visa matters, arranging private holidays and assisting in the significant personal business and financial interests that the Managing Director has.

REQUIREMENTS

It is vital that candidates have worked within the region for at least three years in a senior level support role, to ensure they have a clear understanding of the political and cultural landscape. We are seeking an individual with a clear, well defined corporate career history, who can demonstrate an empathetic style of leadership; someone who can be a mentor to their peers. A warm and engaging personality is vital, with a youthfulness of character and an engaging mind.

Although this role encompasses considerable responsibility, it is highly rewarding and offers prospective candidates’ real scope to demonstrate their ability to add value and to be in that pivotal one -to-one role.
