Executive Head of Secondary - September 2025
Job Description
Due to the ongoing success of GEMS Wesgreen International School (WGP), we are seeking an exceptional Executive Head of Secondary - Boys and Girls Campuses to join our team in September 2025. The successful candidate will play a key role on the Executive Leadership Team, supporting the Principal/CEO in strategically, operationally, and financially leading the school.

Job Purpose
The Executive Head of Secondary will be accountable for creating an outstanding, holistic, and dynamic educational experience for our students, resulting in exceptionally high outcomes through the implementation of a clear educational strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development, implementation, and review of an outstanding secondary curriculum.
- Lead the development and implementation of International GCSE, International A Level, and alternative curriculum courses.
- Foster a culture where all data is viewed as wellbeing data and is utilized effectively to optimize progress and personalize learning.
- Role model and promote exceptionally high academic standards while committing to UAE National Agenda targets.
- Ensure high standards of learning and teaching through effective monitoring, evaluation, and review systems, alongside professional development opportunities.
- Maintain high-quality safeguarding, care, and support for all students.
- Manage budgets and undertake teaching and other professional duties as delegated by the Principal/CEO.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues, students, and parents using excellent interpersonal skills.
- Actively contribute to the school community and culture through engagement in extracurricular programmes and community events.
Skills
To be considered for this role, candidates must:
- Be an effective and dynamic leader (either a Head or exceptional Deputy) with a proven track record in school improvement.
- Promote excellence and a commitment to high standards of care and opportunities for all students.
- Demonstrate successful experience in leading and managing staff while promoting and developing effective approaches to learning.
- Have a comprehensive and confident knowledge of the curriculum at KS3, KS4, and post-16.
- Show a genuine passion for the wider co-curricular life of the school.
