JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Job Description
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus.
- Provide information on daily specials, menu items, and promotions.
- Assist with seating arrangements to accommodate guest preferences and restaurant capacity.
- Take reservations over the phone or in person and confirm bookings.
- Monitor dining room for seating availability and maintain a waitlist as needed.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and serving staff to ensure timely and efficient service.
- Assist in setting up dining areas, including arranging tables and chairs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area, including clearing tables and resetting them for the next guests.
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
- Work closely with the Restaurant Manager and other staff to ensure guest satisfaction and a smooth dining experience.
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Knowledge of food and beverage items and menus.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
