JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
• Supervise and lead a team of fabricators, providing guidance, training, and support.
• Plan and delegate tasks, ensuring efficient use of resources and timely completion of projects.
• Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Oversee the fabrication, modification, and repair of farm equipment, machinery, and structures.
• Ensure all fabrication work meets quality standards and adheres to project specifications and blueprints.
• Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Plan and coordinate fabrication projects, including resource allocation, scheduling, and material procurement.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
• Maintain accurate records of project activities, including work orders, material usage, and labor hours.
• Enforce safety protocols and ensure that all team members adhere to safety regulations and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions to promote a safe working environment.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and company policies.
• Maintain and oversee the maintenance of fabrication equipment, tools, and machinery.
• Manage inventory of materials and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels for ongoing and upcoming projects.
Requirements:
Education:• High school diploma in mechanical engineering/ITI or equivalent; technical or vocational training in welding and fabrication is preferred.
Experience:
• Minimum of 5 - 8 years of experience in metal fabrication and welding, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
• Experience in agricultural/Animal Farm equipment fabrication and repair is highly desirable.
Skills:
• Strong knowledge of welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Excellent leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication (understand English & Hindi)
• Ability to use and maintain a variety of fabrication tools and equipment
Driving license:
• Required (preferably Manual license)
