We are seeking a skilled and proactive Facilities Engineer with valid UAE driving license to join our Facilities Management team. The Facilities Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and improving the functionality, safety, and aesthetics of our building systems, infrastructure, and facilities. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, experience in facility maintenance, and a commitment to ensuring a safe and efficient working environment for all employees.
Requirements:
Facility Maintenance and Operations- Oversee the maintenance of all building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, elevators, and lighting.
- Manage inhouse maintenance technicians for work allocation and site improvement on regular basis.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on facilities and equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
- Identify and address repair needs proactively to minimize facility downtime and disruptions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to facility equipment or infrastructure.
- Coordinate and work closely with contractors, vendors, and external service providers to ensure timely completion of projects within budget.
Project Management and Improvements
- Coordinate and manage facility improvement projects, including upgrades, expansions, and relocations.
- Work closely with contractors, vendors, and external service providers to ensure timely completion of projects within budget.
- Develop plans for facility upgrades, ensuring minimal impact on operations.
Health, Safety, and Compliance
- Ensure all facilities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including health and safety standards.
- Conduct regular safety audits and ensure adherence to safety protocols, such as fire and emergency evacuation procedures.
Energy Management
- Monitor energy usage and identify opportunities for energy efficiency improvements and cost savings.
- Implement energy-saving initiatives, including optimizing building controls and reducing waste.
- Provide regular reports on energy consumption and savings to senior management.
Vendor and Contract Management
- Manage relationships with external contractors and service providers, including negotiating contracts and overseeing the quality of work. Coordinate the scheduling and management of third-party services such as cleaning, pest control, and security.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of service providers, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
Facilities Budget and Cost Control
- Track expenses and report on the financial status of facilities operations.
- Recommend cost-saving initiatives while maintaining high standards of service and safety.
Emergency Response and Incident Management
- Serve as the point of contact for emergencies, coordinating the response to facility-related incidents such as power outages, water leaks, or security breaches.
- Develop and implement emergency preparedness and response plans for facility-related incidents.
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, repairs, and equipment specifications.
- Prepare detailed reports on facility inspections, maintenance activities, and project progress.
- Ensure all facility-related documentation is up to date and readily available for audits or regulatory inspections.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in facilities management, (MEP projects), or maintenance engineering.
- Hands-on experience with building systems and equipment (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.).
- Experience managing external contractors and service providers.
Skills:
- Strong technical knowledge of building systems and maintenance procedures.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of relevant safety standards and regulations
- Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including indoor and outdoor settings.
Work Environment:
- This role requires both office-based and on-site activities within the facilities.
- Occasional evening or weekend work may be required for emergency repairs or facility-related projects.
