JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
We have a great role for a Faculty Affairs Manager who will oversee all aspects of faculty affairs activities including onboarding, recruitment, faculty and academic staff appointments, reappointments, promotions and the search process. Managing a small team and working with departments such as HR, Presidents Office, Outreach the duties will include:
• Develop and implement policies related to faculty recruitment, promotions process, performance, appraisal criteria and any other academic matters in accordance with the internal
• HR rules and regulations.
• Prepare periodic reports on the performance achievement against targets that relates to Faculty Affairs.
• Develop impact assessment related reports and present findings including enhancement recommendations
• Provide information, advice, and guidance on all matters relating to rank and pay of faculty members.
• Provide continuous support, advice and mentorship to the faculty regarding any academic or non-academic matters.
• Coordinate the probationary process for new faculty members to enable the President and
• Vice President for Academic Affairs & Research to review of their contractual status.
REQUIREMENTS
• To be shortlisted you must have previous experience within a university at Manager level and be able to show leadership and very strong organisational and professional ability.
• You will need to be educated to at least Bachelors level, ideally to masters level.
