A newly created opportunity for a Finance manager to work for a government entity in Dubai.

Responsible for the organizations budget, finance and operations related activities from assisting in developing a strategy to creating projections and reports plus effective cash/fund management; responsible for managing the accounting functions.

Duties include:
- Implementation of the goals and objectives; establishes methods and schedules for assigned accounting activities; implements policies and procedures
- Monitors the funding and utilization of resources; manages and processes disbursement of funds; reviews and approve invoices, purchase orders, and requisitions
- Prepares and reconciles all fiscal and budget reports, including monthly financial statements for the departments
- Ensures compliance to the established financial policies and procedures; reviews and recommends modifications to the financial systems, policies and procedures for continuous improvement
- Analyses financial statements and reports; reviews and understand budgetary variances
- Reviews actual performance against budget with Department Heads; identifies concern areas and ensure plans/ steps are in place to manage areas of concern
- Monitors procurement functions and ensures best quality and most cost effective purchases
- Ensures all records are maintained and readily accessible
