About the role

We are seeking an experienced Finance Officer (FO) to oversee the financial strategy and operations of our organization in the UAE. The FO will be responsible for regulatory reporting, financial planning, financial accounting, financial reporting, and risk management, ensuring the company’s financial health as we scale in the digital asset sector.

You will have the following responsibilities
• Build and maintain strong relationships with regulatory bodies, auditors, and other key stakeholders, serving as the primary point of contact
• Ensure compliance with relevant FSRA and ADGM financial regulations, tax laws and financial requirements (incl. financial and regulatory reporting requirements)
• Lead the financial planning, accounting, budgeting, and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives
• Manage the company's IFRS accounts, ensuring compliance with local requirements
• Prepare the annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS as well as the monthly group reporting
• Plan, coordinate and facilitate the annual financial audit
• Process and manage the accounts payable in a timely and efficient manner
• Prepare and submit tax returns and regulatory reports in accordance with legal requirements.
• Liaise with relevant regulations and authorities to ensure compliance with financial and tax provisions
• Manage financial risk, including market risk, liquidity risk, and currency exposure, particularly in the context of digital assets
• Lead the development and implementation of financial strategies, ensuring the company meets its financial goals
• Collaborate with senior leadership on capital allocation, investment strategies, and funding initiatives
• Work closely with the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) to assess and mitigate risks related to financial transactions and market volatility
• Monitor and manage the company’s liquidity and cash flow, optimizing capital structure and funding strategies
• Collaborate with the head office and define requirements for smooth process flows and task automation.

Requirements:
What you bring along?
• Master of Science or an equivalent professional certification in accounting/finance
• Previous experience in a role as FO in an ADGM/FSRA, DIFC/DFSA or VARA regulated entity as well as deep understanding of IFRS and regulatory reporting.
• A minimum of 10+ years of experience in finance, with significant experience in the fintech or digital asset space
• Proven experience in financial planning, risk management, and regulatory compliance, particularly within dynamic and emerging markets
• Deep understanding of the regulatory and compliance frameworks governing financial transactions in the UAE and other relevant jurisdictions
• Hands on approach to deliver on all required tasks especially in the start-up phase of the Company
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels

Please note that for this position, only candidates who are residents of the UAE and presently based in the UAE will be considered.
