Robert Half is working on an exclusive basis with a leading UK listed business based in Dubai.
The Role
Our client is looking for a FP&A Manager to join the EMEA Finance Team to primarily focus on the Middle East business, business partnering with senior management and assisting core operational teams with complex contractual terms and financial modelling. This is new role to support our MENA growth plan and therefore it will be an intensely busy, business facing and visible role. The position may also support the existing FP&A team based in the UK with broader EMEA tasks. Candidates should be energetic, proactive and IT-savvy with advanced Excel skills. They should have experience in dealing with complex issues in a matrixed organisation and be a confident strong communicator.
* Assist in all aspects of financial planning, forecasting and analytics, such as monthly rolling P&L and cash flow forecasts
* Maintaining a strong bridge of communication across all areas of the finance and business teams
* Working with peers and leaders to ensure MENA financial and operational processes are scalable and fit for purpose
* Production and distribution of a various standard and non-standard reports in a timely manner
* Assist in the development and standardisation of key insightful financial/management dashboards (including the use of SAP BusinessObjects)
* Analyse variances from prior, planned or forecasted results and provide comments and recommendations
* Prepare insightful analysis in a summarised format to aide key decision-making
Requirements:
The Candidate* Deep financial planning, forecasting, data mining, and modelling expertise
* Wider finance function experience essential (i.e. financial close, management reporting, consolidation, etc.)
* Strong business partnering experience including contract reviews, KPI analysis and discussing key areas of development with business leaders
* Communicating with and presenting to various stakeholders at all levels in the organisation
* Handling and synthesising large volumes of data
* A track record in leading or supporting improvement initiatives
* Working in a multi-national, multi-currency environment
* Working knowledge of SAP or other large enterprise wide accounting systems
* Exposure to US GAAP would be highly advantageous
* Advanced Excel (i.e. macros, VBA, etc.), PowerPoint, and Word skills are essential
* Knowledge of SAP, BI Intelligence (BusinessObjects) would be very beneficial
* Excellent attention to detail with the ability to prepare robust financial analysis
* Excellent interpersonal / communication and presentation skills
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Committed, task orientated approach with a keen ability to meet strict deadlines
* Ability to work independently and within a team environment
* Comfortable working in a changing environment with high degree of ambiguity
* Content with both routine tasks and ad hoc projects / requests
* Bright, numerate, proactive, confident and enthusiastic
* Fluent in English, a second language would be beneficial
