JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior professional in Financial Reporting to lead the financial reporting, planning, and forecasting functions within our organization. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate, transparent, and timely financial reporting, developing forward-looking financial strategies, and providing decision support to senior leadership. The successful candidate will also oversee statutory audits, maintain compliance with international accounting standards (e.g., IFRS), and drive improvements in financial reporting processes and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Compliance:
• Oversee the preparation and consolidation of financial reports, ensuring alignment with international standards and business objectives.
• Implement and maintain a structured financial reporting calendar, ensuring deadlines are met across all business units.
• Ensure consistency in accounting policies and compliance with IFRS and other regulatory frameworks.
• Lead the statutory audit process, liaising with auditors to ensure a smooth and timely completion.
• Manage the chart of accounts, ensuring proper alignment across business units and approving necessary changes.
• Develop automated and digital reporting tools to enhance efficiency and transparency in financial reporting.
Financial Planning & Forecasting:
• Lead the budgeting and financial forecasting process, ensuring realistic and data-driven projections.
• Provide key insights into financial trends and business risks, supporting strategic decision-making.
• Ensure long-term financial planning aligns with business objectives while maintaining flexibility for market changes.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance financial modeling and reporting capabilities.
• Collaborate with the Tax and Treasury teams to ensure effective cost allocation and compliance with tax regulations.
Financial Analysis & Decision Support:
• Conduct financial analysis, benchmarking, and performance reviews to support senior leadership in decision-making.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities, operational efficiencies, and revenue-enhancing strategies.
• Develop scenario-based financial models to assess potential business risks and opportunities.
• Provide detailed insights into market trends, competitor performance, and external economic factors.
• Support business leaders with custom financial reports and ad-hoc analysis to drive performance improvements.
Requirements:
Qualifications & Experience:• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA/CMA certification preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in financial reporting, corporate finance, or a similar role.
• Proven track record in leading financial audits, implementing reporting structures, and supporting executive decision-making.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and influence cross-functional teams.
• Experience in developing financial strategies in complex and fast-paced business environments.
