Role Overview

The role holder will plan, collaborate, and control all ground handling activities, which includes proactively supporting and engaging in delivering the OAL and Flydubai baggage operation on assigned flights. Act as the point of contact for airlines and teams for flight-related information in order to achieve safe and on-time departure in line with the SLAs of dnata airport operations. The intent of this role is to solve problems before they become a problem for the front line delivery teams to solve, which impacts or disrupts the operational activities and delivers end-to-end aircraft turnaround coordination.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Plan:
    • Oversee the flight schedules and review aircraft ready state to ensure on-time flight arrival and departures across all airports.
    • Oversee operational requirements related to baggage, cargo, and passenger prior to arrival and departure.
  • Lead:
    • Brief dAO core supervision on the flight details to ensure that flight requirements are covered.
    • Coordinate all activities (above and below wing) for a safe and timely turnaround process.
  • Execute:
    • Record the provision of additional ground services above the agreed SLA to ensure accurate flight-wise billing is undertaken, to protect from revenue leakage.
    • Comply with all relevant safety, quality, and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
    • Implement and monitor airline requirements according to SLA and ASR and provide effective engagement with the team on the day of operations.
    • Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes, and practices.
    • Collect relevant flight briefings from airline representatives to ensure resources are correctly allocated.
    • Act as the focal point on the day of operations for a particular flight, making the required decisions and providing guidance.
    • Monitor the time schedules of flights through AACS to ensure that the team on the day of operations is informed and updated on any changes or challenges.
    • Take immediate action to escalate and rectify irregular operations proactively in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
    • Investigate significant flight delays and any breaches of SLAs to ensure that corrective action measures are taken and the appropriate report is created.
    • Maintain relationships with internal and external departments such as DAC, Group Safety and Security, Airport Police, Immigration, and airline customers to ensure that the needs are met and satisfaction is enhanced.

Qualifications & Experience

Airport Operations. Other:

  • Advanced understanding of baggage operations.
  • Advanced understanding of load control.
  • Advanced understanding of the usage of Departure Control System.
  • Advanced understanding of the usage of AACS, BELT, and RTC.
  • Advanced understanding of airline requirements and customer SLAs.
  • Proficient understanding of the turnaround process.
  • Basic knowledge of weight and balance.
  • Proficient data collection and analysis skills.
  • Proficient IT and computer literacy skills.
  • English language skills level 5.
