JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

The General Manager shall be authorized and responsible to look into the affairs of the branch allocated. Will be approved by the Central Bank of UAE as authorized signatory, be the point of contact for implementation of AML policies, compliance framework and reporting to the Central Bank of UAE

Job Responsibilities

Business role
• Share important views / ideas with the Business Development Team and facilitate in implementing the same.
• Review the performance of branch periodically with the team and initiate actions wherever necessary from an operations perspective.
• Liaise with the Business Development team regularly to identify issues, if any, relating to customers / procedures and solve them in consultation with the concerned
• Monitor the revenue/expenditure of both remittance and exchange business in the area

Operational Role
• Ensure that timely and quality service is rendered to all the customers of the branch
• Strictly adhere to the operational guidelines as issued by the Executive Board
• Educate the associate on each operational processes and procedures, Any new associate joining the branch to be advised to go through the orientation so as to ease the procedure of learning operations and other branch activities.
• Ensure that all safety and control measures are being implemented in the branch as per related SOPs

HR role
• Plan for the head count requirement for the business in the UAE, taking into consideration the growth and expansion plans and requirement in the existing branch
• Ensure that all associates get proper training, on any associate being appointed in a branch
• Performance appraisal of a team should be conducted taking into consideration factors like
• Achievement of operational objectives
• Relationship with customers and associate
• Efforts taken by the team to improve the associate awareness on SOP's, AML and all products.

AML & Compliance Standards
• Ensure that all UAE Central Bank regulations and AML policies and procedures are being implemented in the daily operations of the branch
• Prepare reports for the Central Bank of UAE and other stakeholders for compliance, issues and customer activities
• Oversee the customer due diligence and AML Team members for compliance both on global and country level

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 5 years experience as a senior member of a money transfer business
• Preferred to have Central Bank of UAE approval as a Branch In-charge or General Manager
• Has managed correspondent banking relationships, tie ups with other money transfers networks regionally & globally
• Lead of a team of various functions with a branch setup and dealt with stakeholders including Central Bank of UAE
