JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join an exciting start-up in the luxury food industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of growing and managing operations in a food supply business, with a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities in the premium food market.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the caviar business, ensuring smooth production, logistics, and supply chain management.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to support business growth and expansion.
- Manage relationships with suppliers, ensuring high-quality sourcing and compliance with industry standards.
- Drive efficiency and cost-control initiatives across the operation, from procurement to distribution.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and quality standards.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and finance teams to align operational goals with business objectives.
- Implement systems and processes to track performance and identify areas for improvement.

Requirements:
- Proven experience in operations management within the food supply industry, preferably in luxury or niche markets.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management, inventory control, and vendor relations.
- Ability to thrive in a start-up environment, with a hands-on approach to managing multiple aspects of the business.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proven track record in operations management within the food supply industry, ideally with luxury or high-end products like caviar or seafood.
- Demonstrated success in scaling and growing a start-up or niche food business.
- Experience in supply chain management, including sourcing, procurement, inventory management, and distribution.
- Hands-on experience managing quality control and food safety standards, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
- Expertise in logistics and production management, ensuring the smooth flow of operations from sourcing to customer delivery.

Skills:
- Strategic planning and the ability to develop and implement operational strategies to support business growth and expansion.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, capable of building and managing a small, growing team in a dynamic start-up environment.
- Problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly address operational issues and develop efficient solutions.
- Knowledge of cost control and budgeting to optimize resources and drive profitability.
- Vendor management skills to maintain strong relationships with suppliers and partners, ensuring the highest quality of caviar.

Salary:
AED 20,000 to 40,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
