JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
The General Manager of a Readymix Concrete company in Dubai is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the business operations, including sales, production, and human resources. The role requires strong leadership skills, business acumen, and experience in the construction industry.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement business strategies to achieve company goals and objectives.
• Oversee the sales team to ensure targets are met and new business opportunities are pursued.
• Manage the production team to ensure efficient and timely delivery of high-quality concrete products.
• Monitor and control the company's financial performance, including budgeting, cost control.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of employees.
• Implement policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency and ensure a safe working environment.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
• Work closely with the executive team to develop long-term strategic plans for the company.
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate for this role should have:
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior management role in the construction industry, preferably in the Readymix Concrete sector.
• A proven track record of successfully managing and growing a business.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• In-depth knowledge of the construction industry, including market trends and best practices.
• A degree in business, engineering, or a related field.
• Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Strong financial management skills.
• A strategic mindset with the ability to think creatively and identify new opportunities.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of Arabic would be an advantage.
