JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
- Applies a broad knowledge of principles, practices and procedures related to US GAAP and internal controls.
- Supports the monthly closing process, including financial analysis and preparation of monthly reporting requirements for submission to consolidation team.
- Ensures the accuracy of manual journal entries.
- Manages the fixed assets register and reconcile to the general ledger.
- Ensures accurate and timely reporting of all related financial results and meet stringent deadlines through strict account reconciliation procedures and regular balance sheet and P&L reviews.
- Solves problems while handling multiple assignments.
- Assists during external and internal group auditing processes including preparation of various year end schedules.
- Interacts with various departments, external and internal auditors in order to provide relevant information.
- Assists the Financial Controller with ad-hoc projects as required.

REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 5 years of experience in similar role with in a large organization.
- Chartered Accountant /Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent.
- The candidate must get accustomed to complex accounting matters and demonstrate competency in US GAAP, current accounting regulations and internal controls.
- The candidate must demonstrate ability to identify and implement process improvements.
- Accountability and Drive for Results – strong customer focus and collaborative skills.
- The candidate must have strong communication (oral and written)
- Excellent organizational & interpersonal skills.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel and or Access database skills.
- BAAN/LN or Oracle/SAP and Hyperion experience will be a plus
