JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

A group of SME subsidiaries based in Dubai concerning real estate and tech products and services require a new addition to the team. The Group Finance Manager will report to the General Manager, but also act as a Business Partner for all stakeholders and be relied upon to provide financial planning, market trends and analysis to the senior team. It is therefore essential that candidates hold a relevant professional financial qualification and are educated to degree level as a minimum. Due to the nature of the senior team and their clients, it is essential that the successful applicant also holds fluent European language skills with a strong emphasis on either French or Italian.

Management of a General Accountant you will be responsible for all day-to-day operations and the complete finance cycle. The Group Finance Manager will review and update any existing polices and procedures, establish tight control, mitigate risk and ensure income, cash flow and expenditure are closely monitored. Offering your expertise to finalise financial statements, reports, forecasting and analysis, it is expected that you will be able to guide and influence strategic short- and long-term business plans. Tax planning and complete regulatory filing and compliance will fall under the responsibilities of this new position and you will therefore be an experienced Finance Manager, taking the group accounts up to end of year audit. The organisation currently uses QuickBooks, but will look to your 10 years of overall financial exposure to guide them on any new ERPs required to foster an environment of continuous improvement and efficiency.

REQUIREMENTS

Exceptional analytical skills and a high level of detail, the Group Finance Manager should have 5 years of experience within the UAE, team management capabilities and a proven overall financial career of 10 years +. Strong communication skill and (as previously mentioned) fluency in French or Italian is highly desired for this position. This role provides the opportunity to essentially implement the group finance function from scratch and it is therefore imperative that you are willing to take a strategic and hands on approach each day.
