JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

Job Purpose
• Develop an IT vision, strategy, and a roadmap, and lead the effective execution of the initiatives in alliance with the relevant stakeholders and implement the same.
• Ensure, on an ongoing basis, that current and planned technical architecture, investments and solutions are aligned with company business objectives and optimally utilized.
• To provide excellent services working closely with the senior management team to overcome business challenges with the use of technology.
• Be a champion of change, optimising current IT solutions whilst promoting innovative solutions to operational challenges
• To manage and motivate the IT team to deliver on effective and highly regarded service

Key Responsibilities
IT Strategy
• Develop an IT vision, strategy, and a roadmap, and lead the effective execution of the initiatives in alliance with the relevant stakeholders.
• Drive the effective resource planning, management, reporting and coordination of projects/initiatives to deliver change in line with availability and business requirements.
• Help determine capital investment parameters, priorities and risks for enterprise-wide IT initiatives to maximize the return on investment.
• Establish and enforce IT policies, processes, procedures in coordination with relevant stakeholders (Information Security, Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity etc.)
• Review, recommend, and oversee all vendors and managed service agreements for computing, telecommunications, IT services, and infrastructure.
• Analyze the costs, value and risks of information technology infrastructure and requirements to advise management and drive actions
• Monitor changes or advancements in technology to discover ways the company can gain competitive advantage

IT Operations
• Ensure, on an ongoing basis, that current and planned technical architecture, investments and solutions are aligned with company business objectives and optimally utilized.
• Establish metrics for managing IT/System effectiveness and for measuring the impact of IT on the business.
• Maintain oversight of all IT projects, ensuring that commitments are properly planned, staffed, monitored and reported.
• Direct the design, planning, implementation, and maintenance of the computing infrastructure that supports the company’s operations and business applications.

REQUIREMENTS

Educational Qualification Requirements:
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Information Technology from a recognised university

Skills & Professional Requirements:

Mandatory Certifications
• ITIL – IT Service Management
• TOGAF – Enterprise Architecture Framework

Preferred Certifications
• PMP – Project Management Professional

Experience Requirements:
• 10+ Years of experience with Family Groups, Banks or Large Enterprises
• At least 5+ years in a Leadership Capacity
• Experience in Oracle
• Demonstrated capabilities and successful track record in “IT Project Management”, “IT Service Management” and “Designing, Planning, Implementing, and Governing an Enterprise IT Architecture”.
