JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Group IT Manager to oversee the IT operations for our construction, contracting, and real estate business in Sharjah, UAE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the IT infrastructure, managing and running ERP system which is SAP, implementing technology solutions, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems across the group.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement IT strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure the effective management and security of IT systems across the group
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware, software, and networking systems
- Manage the IT budget, procurement of IT equipment, and vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective and efficient IT operations
- Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional development
- Collaborate with department heads and stakeholders to understand their IT needs and provide effective IT solutions to support business operations
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, data protection laws, and cybersecurity best practices
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and IT solutions to improve business processes and drive innovation
- Manage IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and implementations, ensuring timely delivery and quality results
- Monitor and report on IT performance, security incidents, and system vulnerabilities, taking proactive measures to mitigate risks
- Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve the IT infrastructure and operations

REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, software engineer and Master's degree is a certain plus (e.g., ITIL, CISSP) is a plus
- Proven experience of 10+ years in IT management & IT operation with a sizable group, preferably in the construction, contracting, or real estate industry but not a must.
- In-depth knowledge of hardware, software, networking, and cybersecurity principles, with hands-on experience in IT infrastructure management
- In-depth knowledge of ERP system in particular SAP, operation, implementation and latest technology of it.
- Arabic is a must to this role
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing IT team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and effectively convey technical information to non-technical audience
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills to develop and implement IT strategies that align with business goals and drive organizational growth
- Experience in project management, budgeting, and vendor management to ensure efficient and cost-effective IT operations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, multitasking and prioritizing effectively to meet deadlines and deliver quality results
- Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation, keeping abreast of technological advancements and industry best practices
