JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

This employment opportunity is for a Large Group into diversified businesses.

• Offer strategic legal counsel and guidance to senior management and diverse business units within the organization
• Supervise and administer all legal facets of the company's operations, ensuring adherence to relevant laws and regulations
• Formulate, implement, and enforce company policies and procedures to minimize legal risks and uphold ethical business practices
• Lead and oversee a team of legal professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment
• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and legal correspondence
• Act as the representative for the company in legal proceedings, disputes, and negotiations, both internally and externally
• Stay abreast of changes in laws and regulations affecting the company, providing proactive advice to mitigate potential risks
• Manage relationships with external legal counsel when required and collaborate effectively with legal partners
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support decision-making processes within the organization
• Provide guidance on intellectual property matters, encompassing trademarks, patents, and copyrights
• Deliver training sessions to employees on legal issues, compliance, and risk management
• Safeguard the confidentiality of sensitive legal matters and uphold the highest standards of professional ethics.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 15 years of corporate legal experience with a focus on providing strategic counsel
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and active membership in good standing with the state bar association
• Proven leadership skills, with the ability to manage and inspire a legal team
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal
• In-depth knowledge of business law, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance
• Demonstrated ability to handle complex legal issues, disputes, and negotiations with a results-oriented approach
