Head of Compliance

JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Charterhouse is working with a global Financial Brokerage firm based in Dubai, who is currently looking to hire a Head of Compliance to join their DIFC office.

This role will be responsible for leading the Compliance department, and will be the main point of contact for the UAE office. The main focus will be to fully remain compliant with the requirements of the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) and the DIFC, as well as any other relevant regulators.

The Head of Compliance will serve as an advisory role to the business and will be tasked with reviewing and improving existing compliance procedures, especially involving the structure of the internal and external auditing processes.

In addition, an essential part of the role will be to maintain dialogue with the regulatory authorities, therefore experience within DIFC and a DFSA regulated firm is very important.

REQUIREMENTS

To be considered for this role, the successful candidate should possess a wealth of experience in a similar role with at least 7 years of experience in a senior compliance position, mostly working with the DFSA. The ideal candidate will have a wider understanding of laws and regulations in the UAE and be able to provide guidance to the compliance department with regard to the laws and regulations.
