JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Robert Half is working exclusively with a leading Sport and Leisure business based in the UAE. The business is on an ambitious growth trajectory with plans to more than double our revenue over the next five years. They are seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Head of Finance to lead our financial operations and drive our growth strategy.
The Role
The Head of Finance will serve as the top financial executive within the organization, overseeing all financial operations and leading a team of 4-5 finance professionals. This role is ideal for a sharp, energetic, and ambitious individual looking to grow with the company. An interest in our sector is a definite plus.
* Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the company's growth objectives.
* Provide financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets, and business drivers.
* Oversee the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting.
* Monitor and report on financial performance against the budget, providing insights and recommendations.
* Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
* Present financial reports to the senior management team and the board of directors.
* Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
* Identify skill gaps and training needs within the team to ensure optimal performance.
* Oversee cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds as needed.
* Manage relationships with financial institutions and oversee funding arrangements.
* Ensure the company's financial practices are in line with statutory regulations and legislation.
* Develop and implement internal controls to ensure data integrity and safeguard the company's assets.
* Work closely with potential investors, partners, and stakeholders to support fundraising initiatives.
* Assist in due diligence processes for potential mergers and acquisitions.
* Identify and implement improvements in financial processes to enhance operational efficiency.
* Support other departments with financial insights and resource allocation to drive business performance.
Requirements:
* * Chartered Accountant or Certified Public Accountancy Qualification is a mandatory* A minimum of 6 years relevant experience in a similar role, preferably in an international environment
