* As a head of Multimedia you will be responsible for leading and managing a large global Multimedia team. You You will manager content coming in from reporters in the field and ensure relevant content that enhances digital presence and outreach

* Responsible for leading and managing the Multimedia team
* Shoots and edits multimedia projects quickly, accurately and to the highest journalistic standards.
* Manages content coming in from reporters in the field by preparing and uploading content that enhances digital presence and outreach.
* Reviews raw footage coming in from news agencies and prepared edits as required by section heads and online editors.
* Mobilizes team to respond to breaking news.
* Continuously advocates for multimedia projects within the context of editorial proposals, especially in light of new digital focus.
* Works with multimedia producers to improve storytelling and technical skills.
* Works with photographers to develop their multimedia skills.
* Works on cross-departmental co-ordination so multimedia can provide an effective video service to augment each section.

REQUIREMENTS
* Experience managing & mentoring a high performance content and digital studio team.
* Journalistic prowess and thought leadership experience with the ability to create (write and edit) and apply best in class journalism principles to content creation.
* Hands on experience creating dynamic multi-platform thought leader content with a record of innovating new approaches to storytelling narratives and formats.
* Keen understanding of managing production including budgets/expenses across all storytelling formats and digital platforms.
* Ability to attract, retain, develop talent, motivate the team and exhibiting leadership skills to nurture talent.
* Must have News background
