Job Description
The Head of Secondary will provide visionary leadership and will demonstrate exemplary management skills in the assistance of recruitment and development of faculty, the quality assurance of all teaching and learning, and the provision of effective communication with all the school's stakeholders, as well as ensuring the social wellbeing and academic growth of all children.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is a dynamic, passionate, resilient and inspirational leader;
- Has excellent working knowledge of Key Stages 3 to 5 of the National Curriculum for England (NCfE);
- Has the ability to plan strategically and effectively manage change;

- Fosters an environment where students and staff take ownership of their own learning;

- Promotes an understanding and appreciation of diverse cultures within the school community ensuring an inclusive and respectful school climate.
- Ensures adherence to school policies and educational regulations, maintaining the standards of academic integrity and the highest standards of ethical behaviour.
- Proven ability to lead and develop a high performing team in a multicultural environment.
- Data driven leadership - Utilize comprehensive data analysis to inform decision making, identify trends in students' performance and develop strategies for continuous improvement in teaching and learning outcomes.
To be considered for this role, candidates must be:
- A full teaching qualification (a school leadership qualification would also be desirable);
- A track record and experience of continued professional development and involvement in the recruitment of staff;
- Relevant senior leadership experience across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 of the National Curriculum for England;
- A thorough knowledge and understanding of effective school improvement planning and self-evaluation processes;
- A thorough knowledge and understanding of current assessment and reporting practices within Secondary Schools;
- Experience within curriculum design and adaptation;
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Skills
The successful applicant will be:
- A fully certified teacher, holding a B.Ed., PGCE, PGDE or equivalent;
- Passionate about providing outstanding teaching and learning;
- Highly experienced in the National Curriculum for England;
- Efficient in people development and have proven leadership and communication abilities.
