Role Description

As ID Hospitality and Special Projects Manager reporting into the Head of Interior Design, working from our Design Studio at the Al Hudaiba Awards office in Dubai, you will have the opportunity to manage a team of senior and junior architects, BIM operators, manage coordination, quality control of overall architectural technical design packages, and ensure successful final delivery within scheduled milestones as per Azizi Developments standards and requirements.

The ID Hospitality and Special Projects Manager must be able to manage the project during all phases of the work. You should be a strong creative thinker with the ability to lead the creative process and develop intelligent, thoughtful, and considered design. A good understanding of the construction process, working with consultant teams, and leading your design team through concept and developed design processes is essential. You must be able to communicate design ideas visually and verbally within the studio and externally, have excellent English language skills both written and verbal, work on ID strategies at all design stages, and provide alternative solutions to match customer needs, site, and business requirements.

Responsibilities

• Strong leader with experience managing senior, lead, middleweight, and junior designers.
• Work closely with ID Technical Manager and technicians.
• Demonstrate great organizational skills, grasp of detail, and the ability to think ahead, program workflow, and manage your team while helping them grow.
• Develop strong professional relationships with internal and external teams.
• Manage the preparation of material and FF&E overall concept direction and vision for the ID projects in accordance with Brand Standards and Guidelines.
• Source products and fittings, obtain costs, and coordinate budgets.
• Survey the project where required to be able to layout the space.
• Supervise quality at the design and delivery stage and on-site when required for the project.
• Oversee architectural design and construction efforts.
• Work with architects, engineers, and other external consultants to coordinate design details with construction plans.
• Manage materials and costs to ensure projects stay within budget guidelines.
• Provide guidance to the ID team and outside disciplines on materiality and FF&E strategy.
• Assist in reviewing, commenting, and finalizing physical samples at every stage of the project.
• Collaborate and coordinate with other disciplines as required per each design stage.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Manage and allocate necessary resources based on project schedules.
