OBJECTIVE

As Housing supervisor, you will be responsible to supervise the colleague housing in an efficient and sustainable manner to ensure that the asset is well maintained and create a safe and secure living environment for the residents.

Fairmont The Palm is a luxury, world-class resort located on the iconic Palm Jumeirah Island in Dubai. The hotel features 391 guest rooms and suites with dedicated Fairmont Gold rooms and lounge. A total of 11 food and beverage outlets on property offer international dining options including Little Miss India, Frevo - Brazilian Churrasco experience, Seagrill Bistro, Ba Restaurant and Lounge, Blowfish, Flow Kitchen, The Cigar Room, Vuvuzela and others. Fairmont The Palm also features an expansive pool and beach area with a health club, Willow Stream Spa and the Fairmont Falcons Kids' Club.

MAIN DUTIES

Summary of Daily Tasks & Responsibilities

- Supervises the day to day operations of the housing team to ensure compliance with all standards and aiming at satisfying and exceeding our colleagues expectations.
- Supervises the work of Housing Attendants & Technicians to ensure they perform their duties up to standards and to the satisfaction of our internal guests.
- Constantly inspects colleagues housing in public and private areas and storage areas through scheduled inspections and walkthrough to ensure they are clean, well maintained and meet all hygiene, health and safety regulations.
- Takes full ownership for the welcome of our new colleagues by arranging their housing, so that it is ready to be lived in upon their arrival.
- Ensures that the inventory of the housing when colleague move in and upon their transfer / departure is being done, recorded and filed for future reference.
- Take full responsibility to ensure that accurate records of all defects in all areas of the colleagues housing are kept and maintained.
- Ensure that all colleagues are fully aware of the reporting processes and that no other means of reporting defects are deviated to.
- Report on any cleanliness, maintenance or behavioral issues taking place at the colleagues housing and/or other areas of housing that require further investigation and/or disciplinary proceedings to the Housing Manager on daily bases.
- Take direction and work tasks and check priorities from the Housing Manager directly.
- Ensure that all work requested is carried out according to the standards, on timely bases and follow-up on the work is carried out 3 days after work has been finished.
- Help the Housing Manager in preparing a full report of maintenance issues on weekly bases.
- Ensure that communication and notice boards at the colleagues housing and all other colleagues housing areas are done regularly and adhering to Fairmont The Palm of communication.
- Participates in the budget process by establishing the list of CAPEX items needed to upkeep the colleagues housing.
- Ensures with the assistance of the Security team that inspections are done in the apartment buildings to ensure they are safe, secure and free from fire hazards.

Takes inventory of all the Housing Storage Areas; upon need raises purchase requests to ensure minimum par level is kept for all items.
