JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Taylor Sterling is looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to join a global engineering firm in Dubai. This is a fantastic and exciting opportunity for an experienced, passionate and motivated HR professional to join a busy HR department.
This is a generalist HR role which offers a great development opportunity for a Senior HR Advisor/HR Business Partner who is looking for a new challenge to step up and take their career to the next level in driving the business forward to secure a place in one of the big global companies.
Responsibilities:
Generalist HR
• Advising line managers on all employee relations issues, which include family friendly, discipline, grievance and absence.
• Ensure compliance to various policies and procedures across the business;
• Review and update the employee handbook with legislative updates;
• Supporting managers in conducting investigations and undertaking formal meetings;
• Reviewing HR processes and ensuring effective implementation within the business;
• Undertaking briefings with team leaders to roll out various HR initiatives
• Experience of designing company policies and procedures
• Designing and delivering training to line managers
• Working with HR team to drive and promote various HR initiatives
• Reviewing HR communications and briefing documents
• Updating managers toolkits and guidance in conjunction with the Head of HR
• Compiling various HR reports
• Auditing HR data on a regular basis
Recruitment and Selection
• Reviewing job requirements and undertaking job evaluation exercises in conjunction with line managers
• Advising managers on recruitment and selection in line with policy and best practice
• Working with line managers to design job descriptions and competency based interviews
• Supporting line managers to undertake various competency based interviews
• Working with Head of HR to undertake regular review of recruitment and selection methods and proposing changes for improvement
Performance Management
• Advising managers on the performance management policy, procedure and process
• Supporting managers to conduct probation and performance reviews
• Tracking under performance across the business
• Effectively implementing the performance framework within the departments and updating MI
• Assisting managers in dealing with performance and capability issues
REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelors/Master’s Degree in HR / MCIPD/CIPD or part CIPD qualified (Desirable)
• Experience of working in a HR Advisor/HR Business Partner role
• Performance Management, improvement processes and change management
• Hands-on exposure to the various Talent Management processes
• Human Resources information systems understanding
• Intimate understanding of Learning and development, including all processes
• Excellent planning and organisational skills
• Self-starter and proactive
• Strong employee relations experience in discipline, absence, performance, grievances and family friendly legislation
• Confident communication skills
• Ability to build professional working relationships at all levels
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Strong work ethic
• Competent user of MS Office packages
• Ability to work under pressure
• Self-motivated, driven and results orientated
• Organised and able to work in a methodical manner
