JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

An exciting role has been created for a dynamic and driven HR Manager to join an expanding FMCG business based in their Sharjah office. The role is to develop and implement a robust HR function which will support the company’s expansion into new markets which will include driving a strong performance focused culture change and transformation.

The HR Manager will oversee all aspects of human resources practices and processes of the main subsidiary but also support the small Group Head Office. You will manage all aspects of HR from strategy and planning to recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, compensation and benefits, and compliance with employment laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

HR Strategy and Planning:
• Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company’s goals and objectives.
• Prepare and manage the HR budget, monitor expenditures and optimize costs.
• Analyze HR metrics and provide insights to senior management.
• Lead change initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions and employee buy-in and adaptability.
• Develop and promote the desired corporate culture.

Organizational Development:
• Design organizational development initiatives to improve effectiveness and support business growth.
• Conduct organizational assessments and identify areas for improvement.
• Identify and develop high-potential employees for future leadership roles and maintain succession plans for key positions.
• Lay solid foundations for the HR department in terms of structure and best practices.

Recruitment and Onboarding:
• Develop recruitment strategies to attract talent that matches company business goals.
• Understand the staffing needs of different departments and functions and manage the process of job description creation.
• Optimize candidate experience through proper management of the entire recruitment process, including job postings, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding.
• Ensure proper orientation plans and a smooth onboarding process are in place to ensure the soft landing of new employees.

Employee Relations:
• Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns and grievances.
• Foster a positive work environment through effective conflict resolution and mediation.
• Implement employee engagement initiatives to enhance morale and productivity.
• Spearhead internal communication efforts to make sure employees are properly informed.
• Organize regular employee feedback sessions and surveys to gauge employee satisfaction.

Performance Management:
• Develop and oversee performance management systems and processes.
• Provide guidance to managers on performance-related issues.
• Work with managers to identify high-potential employees and create development plans.
• Address performance issues and implement performance improvement plans as needed.

Training and Development:
• Identify training needs and create training programs to enhance employee skills and competencies.
• Coordinate and facilitate internal and external training sessions and workshops.
• Monitor the effectiveness of training programs and adjust as necessary.
• Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

Compensation and Benefits:
• Oversee the administration of compensation and benefits programs.
• Conduct regular salary reviews and benchmark against industry standards.
• Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
• Supervise payroll processing and ensure accuracy.
• Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations and laws regarding compensation and benefits.

Compliance and Legal:
• Ensure compliance with labour laws and regulations in the different countries where the company has operations.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
• Develop, review, update and implement HR policies and procedures.
• Communicate policies and procedures to employees and management.
• Handle employee disciplinary actions and terminations in accordance with company policies.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR).
• Proven experience as an HR Manager or similar role, preferably in a company with 100-300 employees.
• Strong knowledge of labour laws and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage HR projects and initiatives.

Salary:
AED 23,000 to 25,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
