JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

Our client is an emerging one-stop-shop website for the best stuff to do, see, feel, gift and buy in the region. They have substantial investor backing and as a result of their rapid expansion are now in need of an experienced HR Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment & Staffing:
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, candidate sourcing, interviews, and selection for various positions within the company.
- Collaborate with Department Heads to identify staffing needs and ensure timely hiring of qualified candidates.
- Oversee the onboarding process, ensuring new employees are properly integrated and trained.

Employee Relations & Engagement:
- Foster a positive work environment by promoting company culture, team-building activities, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Act as a point of contact for employee concerns, providing support and conflict resolution when needed.
- Develop and implement employee retention strategies to reduce turnover and increase job satisfaction.

Performance Management & Development:
- Implement and manage performance evaluation processes, ensuring that feedback is timely and constructive.
- Collaborate with managers to create employee development plans, providing opportunities for training and career growth.
- Monitor employee performance and identify areas for improvement or additional support.

Compensation & Benefits:
- Oversee payroll processes, ensuring timely and accurate salary payments, bonuses, and other compensation-related matters.
- Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
- Research and recommend competitive compensation packages to attract and retain talent.

HR Policies & Compliance:
- Develop, update, and enforce HR policies and procedures in line with labor laws and company goals.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and national employment laws, including health and safety regulations.
- Oversee disciplinary procedures and terminations in accordance with legal and ethical standards.

Office Administration:
- Oversee the day-to-day administrative operations, ensuring that office supplies, equipment, and services are available and properly maintained.
- Manage relationships with vendors, service providers, and office suppliers to ensure efficient office operations.
- Ensure that administrative processes are efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with company needs.

Facility Management:
- Manage office space, ensuring a clean, safe, and well-organized work environment.
- Oversee security and maintenance of office premises, coordinating with external contractors when necessary.
- Plan and execute any office moves, expansions, or renovations as needed.

Record Keeping & Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of employee files, contracts, performance reviews, and other HR documents.
- Ensure that all legal documents, permits, and certifications related to the business operations are up to date.
- Handle confidential information and sensitive matters with discretion.

Administrative Support:
- Provide administrative support to senior leadership, including scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and coordinating company-wide communications.
- Organize and manage company events, including meetings, conferences, and corporate gatherings.
- Handle travel arrangements and logistics for staff when necessary.

IT & Systems Support:
- Collaborate with the IT department to ensure that administrative and HR systems (HRIS, payroll systems) are fully functional.
- Assist in implementing and maintaining any technology systems used for HR or administrative functions.

Requirements:
- A degree in Human Resources or similar qualification
- CIPD or SHRM or similar certification
- At least 5 years experience in a similar role
- Experience of setting up a complex HR function from scratch
- Detailed knowledge and a firm understanding of all the latest UAE Labour Laws
- Experience of working in the on line shopping sector would be highly regarded
- Strong understanding and hands on experience of managing an HR and payroll IT system
- Full understanding of the latest WPS regulations and how to implement them
- Demonstrable experience in managing a busy, dynamic office in a fast paced business.
- Experience in setting up a comprehensive compensation and benefits strategy from scratch.

Salary:
AED 14,000 to 18,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
Additional benefits: Health care, air ticket, visa
