In preparation, we have initiated the process of reviewing, shortlisting, and interviewing potential candidates to ensure readiness. Upon confirmation of the project being awarded, we will begin mobilizing the selected candidates to commence project execution.

Job purpose

The program HSE manager will oversee the water transmission scheme HSE management system.
This is a PMC role, and there will be multiple supervision consultants and EPCs appointed directly by the client. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all HSE management requirements on the large-scale water transmission projects in Abu Dhabi. This role involves managing technical and functional coordination between systems, disciplines, and multiple contractors. In addition, the candidate will be required to engage with project teams enforcing oversight of regulatory and standards compliance, as well as strategic planning, and collaboration with various stakeholders. Development and implementation of a program-wide HSE management plans and processes to effectively manage the project requirements.

Job responsibilities

  • Monitors compliance with HSE plans, policies, and protocols, perform audits from time to time.
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders, including clients, supervision consultants, contractors, vendors and regulatory authorities to ensure alignment and compliance with project requirements.
  • Development and implementation of HSE management plans, processes and procedures.
  • Provide leadership and direction to project teams, fostering a culture of awareness and continuous improvement.
  • Monitors project progress and team performance, implementing corrective actions as necessary to address any deviations from the project plans.
  • Prepare and present regular project HSE reports to senior management and the client, detailing progress, challenges and solutions etc.
  • Guide and mentor project team members, promoting professional development and knowledge sharing.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients and other stakeholders to maintain project support and mitigate any concerns.

Qualifications

  • Bacheloru2019s degree.
  • ISO 18001 and 14001 Lead Auditor certification.
  • 12+ years of experience in projects.
  • Proven experience in a similar role on programmes with a similar scope.

Technical skills

  • In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of ISO 14001 and 18001 processes, procedures and requirements.

  • Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
