JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Our client, a leading pharmaceuticals manufacturing company is looking to recruit a dynamic and experienced HSE Manager. The role will report to the Corporate Head for HSE and will be responsible for identifying and controlling the risks related to Health, Safety & Environmental issues to improve HSE performance, by implementing new HSE procedures.
Main Responsibilities:
To identify, analyze and mitigate HSE risks based on current HSE standards including safety risks, process safety risks, fire risks, industrial hygiene exposures, environmental impact and business continuity.
Maintain relationships with local HSE authorities and manage related inspections
To improve the site HSE performance by implementing specific improvement programs
To setup the site HSE management system according to companys HSE Key Requirements, standards and guidelines such as ISO14001/OHSAS18001
To setup and implement the site HSE inspection/audit program and follow up corrective actions.
To promote HSE culture in all departments through training and awareness
To issue monthly report and site HSE dashboard, including follow-up of main action plans and programs
To manage external communication with community and local authorities including complaints and legal notices
REQUIREMENTS
Must hold a Bachelors Degree in Engineering (chemical, petrochemical or equivalent)
Ideally must have a minimum of 6 years of experience as HSE Manager at an industrial plant
Must have strong interpersonal & communication skills in English
Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry is a bonus
