28-34 month contract
The client is a well established French business that is a contractor and equipment manufacturer for the Industrial & Energy sectors.
The client are the main contractor for the Emirates Waste to Energy Company (EWEC). The main investors are Bee’ah and Masdar (50/50). The facility will incinerate 300,000 tons of municipal waste per year and generate 30MW. The project will incorporate a MAN Steam Turbine, Boiler Flue Gas Treatment and an Incinerator. MAN will be doing the erection and commissioning of the steam turbine.
This is a site based HSE position, overseeing the work being done by two main sub-contractors. The ratio of workers to dedicated competent HSSE personnel shall not exceed 1:40 (one to forty) for the Sharjah Multifuel Waste to Energy Project as whole and for each Sub-Contractor. Each Sub-Contractor shall deploy a dedicated competent HSSE professional when their on-site workforce reaches 15 persons and a part-time HSSE professional for a workforce of between 1-14 persons.
REQUIREMENTS
Candidate Criteria:
* Candidates should be Degree qualified HSE professionals with Membership of professional international organization/ institute, e.g. TechIOSH or above.
* Technical Degree or Diploma plus international HSE degree/diploma.
* 7 years in oil and gas/ power/ renewables industry and construction sector as HSE professional.
The project will take 34 months from the day they get the notice to proceed. CNIM will require a project team to work 6 x 10 hours per day. The salary will be an all-inclusive figure for base, housing and transport. A single status VISA, medical and annual flight will be provided.
