Job description

The role

Under the guidance of Maintenance Manager and/or the Cluster Director of Engineering and within the limits of the established Accor Policies and Operational Standards Manual, the responsibilities are to provide efficient, personalized, courteous and punctual service and technical skill. To work with a team spirit and to ensure that all hotel guest rooms, other facilities and equipment are working in good condition.

Key deliverables and responsibilities

Operations:

• Executes all mechanical, electrical and associated work to the highest professional standards for the whole hotel.
• Able to analyse problems and formulate plans to get work done quickly with a high degree of quality.
• To attend training classes as per schedule.
• To adhere to proper grooming standard at all times.
• Perform as per Operational Standards Manual standards.
• Is aware of the daily hotel activities and has product knowledge of the hotel.
• Is familiar with all related company documentation and especially with the relevant Operational Standards Manual for his or her field of responsibility.

Administration

• Makes oneself thoroughly familiar with the hotel's emergency procedures and is in a state of preparedness for any emergency which may occur.
• To carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Shows fullest cooperation and respect within the team and other departments.
• Carry out any other reasonable task (which may not be stated here) as requested.
• Checks extra needs of a guest.
• Abides by the daily task and ensures timely implementation.
• Must be able to control the stocks and other items in his workshop and order more as required.
• Acts on issues and concerns in his activity field immediately.
• Performs the tasks assigned to him or her and ensures their implementation while working independently.

Qualifications

• Good all round practical trade skills inclusive fabrication, installation and maintenance.
• Ability to do gas and arc welding.
• Good English command.
• Secondary school plus technical college or equivalent.

Additional information

• Minimum 5 years air-conditioning or refrigeration installation or maintenance.
• Experience in industrial or commercial projects.
• Hospitality experience preferred.
