JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

We are looking to hire an Accountant – Income and Audit (Hospitality Sector) who will be responsible for auditing income streams, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial operations for our client based in Dubai which is one of the largest companies in the region.

This position is a contract role with an initial duration of 4 months and is renewable based on performance.

The ideal candidate will have strong auditing experience, exceptional attention to detail, and a deep understanding of income audit procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
- Income Audit Expertise: Conduct thorough audits of income streams, verifying accuracy, authenticity, and compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
- Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and recommend corrective measures to maintain accurate financial records.
- Compliance Oversight: Ensure adherence to accounting principles, legal regulations, and company policies in all income-related transactions and reporting.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements, streamline income audit procedures, and implement best practices for efficiency and accuracy.
- Reporting and Documentation: Prepare comprehensive reports on audit findings, income analysis, and financial performance, presenting insights to stakeholders and management.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including Finance, Audit, and Operations to resolve income-related discrepancies and optimize financial processes.

Knowledge, skills & experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or relevant certification preferred.
- An advanced qualification includes certification in ACCA, CA, or CMA.
- Proven experience in income auditing, with a minimum of 5 years in a similar role within the accounting or audit domain.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, auditing standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in financial analysis tools, accounting software, and MS Excel.
- Strong analytical skills with acute attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and articulate complex financial information.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
