JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
- Designs coastal protection structures (revetments, breakwaters).
- Designs beaches including groynes.
- Designs scour protection.
- Designs seawater intake/outfall structures.
- Inspects and evaluates condition of coastal infrastructure (beaches, revetments, breakwaters).
- Prepares, manages and reviews bathymetric surveys, sediment sampling and water quality testing.
- Prepares, manages and reviews marine geotechnical investigations.
- Utilizes Hydrodynamic modeling (near-shore wave conditions, wave transformation, wave disturbance, sediment transport).
- Inspects site works.
- Writes technical reports (feasibility, concept, detailed).
- Prepares and delivers presentations.
REQUIREMENTS
- Degree in Coastal Engineering.
- Preferably with Masters in Coastal Engineering or similar discipline.
- 3-5 years relevant experience.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Working knowledge of hydrodynamic software packages.
