International Sales Manager - Venue Sales

JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

We are currently recruiting for a role as a Senior level International Sales Manager.

Our client is an organisation based in the United Arab Emirates who specialise in a variety of services, above all offering venue space for Conferences & Exhibitions. The role focuses on venue space selling to corporate clients in the international market.

One part of this role is to target business with clients who wish to use the venue for live events that can range from meeting rooms for training, annual staff meetings, gala dinners, product launches, supply chain event, award ceremonies etc. The other integral part of this role is to manage/mentor/lead the corporate sales team.

We are looking for individuals who have proven abilities in exceeding financial targets, have a strong network in the international corporate market and who have had substantial experience in sales, sales strategy and team management, preferably within a major events venue.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelors’ Degree in Business Administration or Sales and Marketing Management essential
• Post-graduate degree in Business Administration preferably with specialization in Sales and Marketing
• 8 – 10 years of sales and marketing experience preferably in the events industry
• 6 years of experience in managing customer accounts
• Proven track record of securing new business
• Proven ability to exceed financial targets
• Ability to lead in the formulation of corporate sales strategy
• Ability to generate innovative client engagement activities
• Deep network with international corporate end users and corporate agencies
• Demonstration of network with UAE corporate end users, corporate event agencies considered beneficial
• Knowledge of the UAE events market considered beneficial
• Expert knowledge of Strategic Sales and Marketing
• Expert knowledge of Consumer & Market Research
• Expert knowledge of Communication & Public Relations skills
